Operation Fruit Rescue Edmonton (OFRE) is gearing up for an exciting year—and we’d love for you to be part of it! Join us on Sunday, May 25th at 4:00 PM at the Avonmore Community League (7902 – 73 Ave NW, Edmonton) for our Annual General Meeting (AGM) and a lively salad potluck. Bring a dish to share (please label ingredients), and we’ll provide pizza, drinks, and good company!
Please RSVP by May 11th, through our contact form
This is your opportunity to help shape OFRE’s future. We’ll be electing our 2025 leadership team, reviewing upcoming goals, and recruiting passionate volunteers and committee leads.

Whether you’re ready to take on a formal role—like Vice President—or would like to join as a Member at Large to support discussions and planning, your voice and skills are needed.
All ages are welcome—because community grows stronger when everyone has a seat at the table.
OFRE survived near-closure because people stepped up, got creative, and believed in what we could become. Now we’re thriving—rooted in education, community connection, and preserving more than just fruit.
Last year we pressed cider. This year we’re pressing onward—with more preservation workshops, stronger committees, and deeper roots in Edmonton’s food future. It’s an exciting time to get involved.
This is your invitation to shape what’s next. Be part of a grant team, help tell our story, or simply show up with enthusiasm and a willingness to learn.
You don’t need to be a canning expert—just someone who believes in less waste, more sharing, and delicious possibilities. Pull up a chair; we’ve saved you a spot.
Come celebrate sustainability, community-driven food initiatives, and the spirit of collaboration that makes OFRE thrive. We can’t wait to see you there!
