Operation Fruit Rescue Edmonton (OFRE) connects our community through harvesting and preserving local fruit. Our mission is to reduce waste, share knowledge, and empower Edmontonians with food preservation skills, ensuring that everyone benefits from the bounty of fresh, locally grown produce.

Mission
OFRE is a non-profit organization that will get locally grown fruit into the hands, mouths, and minds of people in the Edmonton capital region through fostering the development of community relationships, "hands on" workshops and knowledge sharing.
Vision
Anyone in the Edmonton Capital Region has access to fresh locally grown fruit supporting their health and wellbeing.
Values
Our values, represented by the acronym SCALE, guide everything we do at OFRE, ensuring we maximize impact through Sharing, Connecting, Access, Local focus, and Education.
- Sharing: Distribution of excess fruit to maximize use and minimize waste.
- Connecting: Connecting people together to build a strong diverse community.
- Access: Allowing anyone, no matter of their income, access to fresh local fruit.
