When: Sunday, August 29
Where: Meet in the backyard of 11602 126 St. NW (purple bungalow on the corner) @ 10:30 a.m.
We will hang around for 10 minutes or so splitting into teams and getting address assignments, then we will carpool off to pick fruit for a couple hours before returning at 12:30 p.m. to weigh out the fruit and divvy it up among the volunteers, Food Bank, etc. We will be picking apples, and possibly some cherries.
What to bring: Wear weather-appropriate clothing and be prepared for sun or mosquitoes. Other useful items if you have them: extension ladder, plastic shopping bags, paper shopping bags, cardboard boxes, buckets AND if anyone has one of those spring loaded weigh scale (used to weigh trophy fish, for example) that would be great too.
Please RSVP to Lynn Lau email@example.com as soon as you are able by emailing or calling me (780-433-2217) . If you aren’t able to make this one, we will also have a picking Monday, Sept. 6 and Sunday, Sept. 12.
