Queers in the Orchard

Sunday, June 2 @ 12:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Pride Month Celebrations!

Kick off your pride month celebrations with an afternoon of planting, picnic-ing, and palling around at the OFRE Orchard! Come explore this burgeoning oasis in our city’s core and celebrate the diversity that makes us great!

Let’s build community together! Whether you are a permaculture expert or a nature loving / plant baby having LGBTQ+ person or ally: you are welcome here, you are invited to make this space your own, and you are encouraged to let your true self shine!

There will be coffee and tea as well as treats on a potluck basis (please list ingredients). We’ll play our favourite LGBTQ+ music (please share your requests!) as we plant strawberries and asparagus that will be enjoyed for years to come.Once we’re done with plants we can enjoy the space and one another’s company for the remainder of the afternoon.

Our Request:

Please bring a contribution which reflects you! Treats to share, flowers to plant, art to display, or even simply your beautiful present selves. Let us know what you can add to elevate our gathering 🙂

Pride attire if you please!

Weather appropriate clothing and closed toed shoes please. If you have a good picnic blanket bring it! This is a family friendly event.

Operation Fruit Rescue Edmonton and the Edmonton Permaculture Guild look forward to welcoming you to the space and encourage you to make it your own! ♥
