End of Harvest Season 2019

THANK-YOU, EDMONTON!

For An Outstanding Fruit Rescue Season

Thanksgiving marks the end of this year’s fruit rescue season. We want to extend our gratitude to OFRE’s member volunteers who make time to sign up and rescue as much fruit as they can carry each year! Stay tuned for details about our upcoming Volunteer Appreciation Party in November.

Thank-you to our large community of fruit growers who share their backyard fruit with our members and the many charities we support.

Special thanks to our partner, Prairie North Cider Co., for all their support and cider-pressing enthusiasm at the Crazy Cider Sunday events.

We are thankful for everyone’s efforts and dedication to reduce food waste and hunger in the city of Edmonton. We wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday filled with love, family, friends, fruit and pie!

Stay up-to-date about all our upcoming events.

Please sign up for our mailing list at the bottom of the page to hear about our news and activities in the “off season”.

We look forward to rescuing fruit with you in 2020!

Thank-you!

Thank you to all attendees of our first Online Tree Pruning Workshop on Saturday morning! Special thanks to Alex McCormick from TreeLink Arboriculture, who braved the elements to deliver an excellent tree pruning demonstration & discussion. #treepruning #puns
